Swimming pool refurbishment
Project overview
We were approached by this client when they bought a home that had an existing swimming pool at the property. The swimming pool had been abandoned and nothing had been done to it in years.
The client wanted a complete swimming pool refurbishment and the surrounding area landscaped to make it a usable and aesthetically pleasing space.
From start to finish, the whole project cost £70,000.
Our approach
Our team recommended relining the old Marbilite finish with a fibreglass finish, as it is durable, low maintenance and available in a range of colour options. The client opted for the ‘Pearl White’ colour which is one of the most popular options for fibreglass pools.
The current plant room had also fallen into disrepair, so we replaced the original pipework to future proof it. This added a much more modern and energy efficient solution. New handmade coping stones were fitted, and the plant room included an inverter heat pump to manage the temperature, new electrics to bring the system up to safe modern standards, four colour changing LED lights and the automatic safety cover.
We worked closely with their builder who installed the sandstone surround and summerhouse.
We do offer a full landscaping and garden design service but on this occasion we were happy to work alongside the customer’s builder.
Final results
The final results show a beautiful, usable swimming pool with enhanced features such as LED colour changing lights and a pool safety cover. The area surrounding the pool has been completely landscaped to make an aesthetically pleasing space to relax in and enjoy the swimming pool.
